During her tenure of more than 2 decades with SEWA Bank, she has implemented multitudinous products in savings, loans as well as insurance and pension, making sure that all of the products respond to life cycle needs of poor women. She is a pioneer in introducing micro insurance and micro pension for unorganized sector. Vyas, is keenly interested in empowerment of women, and contributes in field also by facilitation of other organizations. Her contributions as Chair of Sadhan, Chair of Citi Center of Financial Literacy, Chair of Invest India Micro Pension Services, member of WWB Board of Trustees, Board of Director at National Housing Bank, Board Member at CED and many others is evidence of her commitment and dedication for a better world for poor women in the unorganized sector. |

with Neville Williams in 1995. Dr. Hande earned his Doctorate in Energy Engineering (solar specialty) at the University of Massachusetts (Lowell). He has an undergraduate degree in Energy Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Dr. Hande serves on the boards of many organizations, both national and international. |
